Professional development



The Canadian School of Warsaw provides opportunities for our teachers to consider research and approach theory directly by taking part in regular conferences and workshops. They evaluate their practice and work with their colleagues for mutual benefits for the whole school community. The experience gained from externally provided conferences and workshops, both in-school and outside, are seen in the broader context as we notice relations between the teaching practice of professional development, leadership and curriculum. We consider these experiences as ‘catalyst’ opportunities which influence our school greatly. The CSoW chooses these workshops thoughtfully bearing in mind the following questions: how does this style of professional development align with our academic priorities and how can we use the gained knowledge in practical ways. We are proud of what we have already achieved and excited and motivated by the possibilities awaiting us in the future.
